# Expert Advice:

01 -
  • The contrast between the chewy golden exterior and pillowy soft interior creates that perfect pretzel bar texture at home
  • That hot cheese dip pulls everything together into the kind of snack that disappears in minutes at any gathering
02 -
  • The baking soda bath is nonnegotiable because without it youll just have bread bites not pretzel bites
  • Work in small batches when boiling the dough pieces because too many at once lowers the water temperature and they wont develop that pretzel crust
03 -
  • Use a slotted spoon to remove pretzel bites from the boiling water and let excess drip off for just a second before transferring to the baking sheet
  • The cheese dip thickens as it cools so add a splash more milk if reheating to get that perfect dippable consistency again
